So I’ve taken up biking.

Crazy, right? I’m not one for athletics of any sort. Or activity of any sort. I am the king of laziness, with a self-proclaimed 8+ hours of internet surfing a day for the majority of my teen years.

That being said, I’ve always been that guy who wishes he was that guy that did things. So this past weekend I dragged my bike out of the basement and got ready to start riding it around.

This is not the bike I use, but the first one I intended to ride. I ruined the tires moments after this picture was taken.

Today is day two of my bike riding, and to help keep track of things, I’ve been using a neat application for my Blackberry called runtastic. I’m currently using the lite version of the app (you have to pay for the pro version, which only adds a heart rate monitor), and I am loving it.

runtastic keeps track of your location via a pretty well done GPS system, and also keeps track of your speed, workout time, pacing, and altitude. The result is a bunch of great stats, with limited results on your mobile device and extensive tracking on the runtastic.com website.

When you’re ready to start an exercise, you just hit Go and select your activity from a giant list, which includes car driving and snowball fights.

SNOWBALL FIGHTS!

That is cool. I enjoy it. The app also has sharing straight to Twitter or Facebook.

Fantastic!

Hey guess what! I’m engaged! To a woman!
We, of course, couldn’t be more excited. Unless possible if there was a unicorn that I could tame and subsequently nickname the Matrimony Pony or something.
Yes! Just wanted to let everyone know! I’m engaged! She said yes!
Booyah!

Remember that secret project that I was planning?
I launched it on Monday.
And it’s awesome.
Get Geoff A Job.com is my latest social media campaign. It is my attempt to use the Internet to get myself a full-time job. I will work in virtually any field, and I can do virtually any job. I only need to be taught things once, and I always exceed expectations.
Take a look, share it with everybody, and hire me!
